He is one of the innovative poets who produced a flourishing poetic period in 1330s – 1350s. This period is considered as one of the best and the most promising periods of modern poetry in Iran.   Most of his poems include the themes of love and society that rotate round thinking axes such as despair and hopelessness, discovering hope within hopelessness and etc.   The impact of historical events, disordered economy, lack of social welfare, freedom and independence in Iran, as well as, the effect and influence of symbolism … are the major reasons for the disappointment and loneliness and death preoccupation in his poetry and have caused the poet's hopelessness of life. This study investigates the themes of his poetry along with explanations of his thinking axes. محمد زهری، یکی از چهره­های شاخص شعری دردوره معاصر است. وی از جمله شاعران نو پردازی است ­که بین دهه های 1330 تا 1350 یکی از درخشان­ترین دوره­های شعر فارسی را رقم زدند، این دوره یکی از مهم ترین و شکوفاترین دوره­های شعر نو در ایران محسوب می­شود. مضامین بیشتر شعرهای او را عشق و اجتماع­ تشکیل می­دهد که بر حول محورهای فکری از جمله تنهایی، یأس و نومیدی، یافتن امید در دل نومیدی و .... می­چرخد. تأثیر رویدادهای تاریخی، اقتصاد نابسامان، نبودن رفاه اجتماعی، آزادی و استقلال در کشور و همچنین تأثیر و نفوذ مکاتب ادبی اروپایی چون رمانتیسم، سمبولیسم و .... از مجموعه عواملی است که شرنگ یأس و تنهایی و مرگ را در کام شاعر ریخته و سبب سرخوردگی و یأس شاعر از زندگی شده است. در این مقاله سعی شده است که درون مایه­ی اشعار شاعر  همراه با تشریح محورهای فکری به روش توصیفی و تحلیلی مورد نقد و بررسی قرار گیرد. https://jllr.usb.ac.ir/article_958_46ecd44d0a9c84cbdbbdf9860a57cad2.pdf
